Tunesday: This Land is Your Land

"This Land is Your Land" is song that has always frequented our playlists with its beautiful covers {Bob Dylan, Bruce Springsteen}. The more recent cover by My Morning Jacket has been one that would pop up in an lengthy playlist ever so often. Yesterday, it claimed it's playtime on shuffle and the song's meaning grew even deeper. Its message should be always be shared.

Fringe Necklace DIY

I don't know if you know this about us
but we love to refurbish things.
Over the years we have collected a lot
of, "potential projects" during our spring
cleanings. This is a piece we have had
on our hands for some time now and
we FINALLY came up with a purpose for it;
fringe necklace!

And, the good thing is,
it only took  five minutes!
(minus the trip to Jo Anns for the fringe)

And you only need 4 things:

fabric glue or hot glue
a piece of scrap metal or a
piece of an old necklace
scissors
and FRINGE!

It's simple. All you need to do is apply
your fringe to the metal using your glue
and cut off any excess.
Let it sit until dry. Then clean up the bottom edges
of your fringe.

Happy DIY-ing!

what dreams are made of: Chanel SS17

CHANEL SS17

Yesterday's Chanel Haute Couture SS17 show was pur
e perfection. Who knew the combination of
feathers, patent leather and sequins
 could create such magic🌟?

We have chosen some of our faves for a photo
diary to pay homage to one of the best collections
that we believe has reached full unicorn status.

Chanel, we are going to need two of each 💖

Tunesday; Tegan and Sara

This past week's workload was a tad stressful,
and left us needing a MAJOR jolt this week
to stay motivated.
We've found it in Tegan and Saras album
Love You to Death, and
are particularly drawn to the single
Stop Desire.
We can't wait to see these babes
live at Bonnaroo this year!

Tunesday; Saint Motel

This month has been CRAZY, and we have
been finding ourselves in need of some upbeat
tunes to get us through the madness.

Move by Saint Motel has been one
of our favorites on repeat.
It's upbeat, catchy and as it turns out
a great dance song!

Happy Tunesday!

Now Listening; Favorite itunes Podcasts

Snow days are great (if you get them) but can
sometimes be boring. Or maybe you are from
a place that is not prone to in-climate weather, but
have found yourself with some serious
 down time this month.

One of our newly acquired pleasures lately
have been crime podcasts. Yes that's right,
Crime. There is something so strangely intriguing
about a good murder mystery, and even more
fascinating when they are real.

It all started with a curiosity for Serial.
We jumped on the bandwagon (way late)
, but like most, we were instantly hooked!
It was a real episode flipper.

As luck would have it, our procrastination
somewhat paid off. The Serial podcast has
since inspired several other pocasts to sprout up
on itunes in the vain of True Crime.
It's almost as good as binging on Netflix...almost.
But the nice thing about it is you can listen
to them at work too!

I think we have just about gone through them all
but if you are like us, and find yourself with
an afinitiy for the mysterious, check out
our favorite True Crime Podcasts on itunes!

AND, if you have any suggestions for ones to try out,
let us know! We are always looking for a
great new binge!

Pieces STL Board Game Cafe

You guys! The BEST bar just opened in St. Louis,
Pieces St. Louis Board Game Cafe!

This past weekend, we decided to visit
the new establishment and give it a go.
We may or may not have
also had heard they had bottomless mimosas
on Saturday and Sunday, so we obviously had
to check that out too!
(The rumors were true if you're wondering!)

We had the greatest Sunday Funday
immersed in childhood flashbacks such
as Dream Phone (yes that's right DREAM PHONE)
and other classics, like Yahtzee and Monopoly,
and even decided to branch out with a new game
13 Dead End Drive. We could have stayed there
all day and night if we could.

Pieces is stocked with over 500 board games
all ranging from easy to difficult,
and all very fun!

Not to mention, they also serve food
and drinks. Grab your friends and go play
some games!

For hours and menus or more information
visit www.stlpieces.com!

This might have been our favorite game of the day.
It took a bit to set up, but it was worth it!
It was like a 3D version of clue. Some of you
may have played it, but if you haven't
we reccommend it!
