End of summer with Grants Farm

We can't believe it's already almost September!
Come celebrate the end of summer at Grant’s Farm’s
final Food Truck Friday of the season. On
Friday, August 26 visitors can begin their weekend
in the Tier Garten of Grant’s Farm dining from a variety
of food trucks including Slide Piece, Doughboys Pizza,
Completely Sauced and Destination Desserts.

Additional family-favorite activities include goat
feedings and carousel rides, which will still be available
following a ride through Deer Park.

WHAT: 

Grant’s Farm is partnering with the St. Louis 

Food Truck Association for Food Truck Fridays in the Tier Garten

 the last Friday of every month this summer. The final Food Truck

 night is Friday, August 26. Entrance into the event is $12 per car or $5 per walk up. 

Parking opens at 5:45 p.m. with rides through Deer Park beginning at 6 p.m. 

Guests can enjoy the Farm after hours and eat from a variety 

of food trucks throughout the evening, including:

·         Slide Piece

·         Doughboys Pizza

·         Completely Sauced

·         Destination Desserts

 

In addition to the food trucks, attendees can enjoy their

 favorite Grant’s Farm attractions, such as goat feedings, carousel

 rides and camel rides, as well as music from a live band. 

Anheuser-Busch products will also be available for purchase.

Bud Light Party

Last Thursday we pretty EPIC, to say the least,

thanks to Bud Light!

We attended their Convention Party at The Pageant

featuring Charli XCX and Dashboard Confessional.

It was a show for the books!

Weeks before the show, we found out that we had

won a Bud Light Contest for tickets to the show (score!).

HOURS before the show, we found out we won

a Meet and Greet with the performers.

Then while we were AT the meet and greet

found out we were to introduce the headliner

and one of our favorite bands, Dashboard!

 We decided to relive the magical memory today and 

share it with our readers, becasuse we are

STILL on a high from the night.

Little Black Dress Exhibit

Little Black Dress: From Mourning to Night 

at Missouri History Museum

"A girl should be two things: classy and fabulous."

And so should her dress!

What woman doesn't own a staple Little Black Dress?

It has become one of fashions most iconic

and classic pieces adorned by women everywhere.

We explored the history and evolution

of the Little Black Dress from Mourning, 

when it was used as a symbol for loss, to Night,

its more familiar use for a cocktail dress.

This exhibit is fantastic and is the perfect 

event for a Girls Night Out or even Date night!
We will be sad to see it go.

The exhibit begins as you explore the early
uses of the Little Black Dress for its use in
rituals of mourning. As you continue through
the museum, you begin to see the evolution
of how the little black dress became popularized
as a fashion staple, all the way to its use in
modern weddings.

We don't want to give away too much about the
exhibit, but there are only a few more
weeks to see the magic for yourself!
