Classpass

We have had the opportunity this month to try out classpass STL.
We were excited! We had heard so many great things about it
and when we heard it was in St. Louis, we knew we wanted to see
what it was all about. We have been loving it so much, we thought we
would share our experienceand favorite classes so far.
For those of you who don't know, classpass
is designed to help you explore tons of amazing studios
and classes in your city. It helps you to challenge yourself with
different ways to work out, and get you into the kind of fitness
you feel passionate about.

So far we have totally falling in love with Barre and night yoga classes that are relaxing and take away the stress of the day. We have found studio both near our work and home and some we can even walk to which is a nice warm-up and cool-down. We can't wait to try ballet tonight, which we have been talking about trying for what seems like years. If you'd like to check out class pass click HERE.

  1. The smartest move Soulcycle made was staying a Premium Service and saying no to classpass.

2 articles against Classpass in the New York Times:

She would rather pay full price at SoulCycle than see the studio become even more crowded. “I’m like, ‘Please don’t join ClassPass,’ ” she said.

I have run studios for years. Classpass does not work for studios. Your membership will leave you for classpass once members learn they are paying double what the others in your classes are paying. Your user base will be very angry at you. Incremental revenue is the fantasy that classpass is selling. It does not work out that way. Members abandon studios for classpass. Your loyal user base will not be happy to learn that they are paying $25 and you just sold classes to classpass at $10. You will become a $10 an hour studio and will compete with every other $10 studio around you on a per class basis for users. You will be owned by classpass.
